[MPlayer-users] Fast video, please help

Hi, 
I installed mplayer (0.9) in Gentoo with XFree86 4.3.0.
The problem is that the video was going too fast, but the sound was left 
behind. I tried to change the video from xv to x11 but no change.

Any idea?
