[MPlayer-users] From WMV to AVI

Just a short question:
Can anyone tell me how to reencode a WMV file to an AVI one without having troubles with sound?
I have no problems in doing the video part but the sound seems impossible. There are always "too many video packets in the buffer"... :-(
