[MPlayer-users] vesa / fbdev output combined with external graphics

It's me again,

is it possible to set a background image, while playing a video in vesa mode ? 
That would solve me problem too. For example setting mode 800x600, put the 
background image and scale the video to 704x468 (center) ?
