if you use cdfs  http://www.elis.rug.ac.be/~ronsse/cdfs/

follow the easy install

you can get (the same) more uman redeable info:

#! /bin/bash

RD=/dev/dvd
MP=/mnt/cdfs
mount -t cdfs -o ro $RD $MP
cat /proc/cdfs
umount /mnt/cdfs

#  end

note cdfs is usefull for many other things  (mostly useful for audio 
video CD)
you may need also loop devices to mount the images
