I guess that noone knows the answer to this...

Oh well, I'll have to deal with it.

Hi!

I've RTFM a lot but cannot find any bug report on this.

Mplayer has a nice scaling that fills the entire screen even
if the movie aspect ratio is 2.35:1

I normally like to see the whole movie even if that means black bars,
so I found out that '-vop expand=720:576:-1:-1:1' showed the movie as
I liked (except for the subtitles that appear at the very bottom).

This works great except if I press up to fast-forward the movie, it
crashes...

I have the RC2 version compiled with gcc3.2 on a RH7.3 system.

My output device is an DXR3.

Do I need to explain anything more?

Thanks.

p.s. full commandline:

mplayer -vo dxr3 -ao oss:/dev/em8300_ma-0 -framedrop \
-vop lavc,expand=720:576:-1:-1:1 /opt/movie.avi
