I just recompile mplayer to try this, it works but the thing about
downloading titles doesn't work for me (yes, I added the "-" after
the "cdda://1", I have RedHat 8, today's CVS and:

cdparanoia-devel-alpha9.8-11
cdparanoia-alpha9.8-11
cdparanoia-libs-alpha9.8-11

./configure --enable-qtx-codecs  --enable-new-conf --enable-menu --enable-gui --with-cdparanoiaincdir=/usr/include/cdda

libcdda_interface.so.0 => /usr/lib/libcdda_interface.so.0 (0x40147000)
libcdda_paranoia.so.0 => /usr/lib/libcdda_paranoia.so.0 (0x40158000)

Also, it works only as root, weird, my permissions are (I use scsi-emulation) :

brw-rw----    1 masimito disk      11,   0 Aug 31 08:31 /dev/scd0
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root            9 Mar 19  2002 /dev/cdrom -> /dev/scd0
brw-rw----    1 masimito disk       3,  64 Aug 31 08:31 /dev/hdb

/dev/hdb is the real IDE device, just in case. "masimito" is the user I used for
testing pourposes.
