[MPlayer-users] XVIDIX woes

I'm tying to get mplayer working on my Linux install. I have a PCI ATI
Radeon 7000/VE card, so I'm attempting to get the vidix driver to
initiate. However, as you can see below, it doesn't appear that mplayer
is finding any of the vidix drivers. I've tried recompiling with
different library directories, etc., to no avail. The directory
/usr/local/lib/mplayer/vidix does exist and is full of vidix drivers. I'm
using Linux kernel 2.4.18 and a fresh install of Debian Stable (Woody).

Incidently, if I use the default X driver, mplayer runs. I'm just hoping
to get the added benifit of the accelerated driver.

Any thoughts on this would be great.

Nick.
