[MPlayer-users] Do subtitles automatically scale when -vop scale is used?

It seems to me they don't. That is, the autoscale for the subtitles is
applied before -vop scale comes into effect.

As such, a movie with a small initial resolution (say, 512x384) whose
subtitles are scaled appropriately by mplayer, will have really
relatively tiny subtitles when the movie is scaled to 640x480 or
800x600.

As you can see, the subtitles don't change in size even though the movie
itself is getting larger. The subfont scaling is calculated on the
original resolution of the movie, not the resolution to which it has
been scaled -- this is a pain in the butt. This can be reproduced with
any movie+subtitle file.

Thanks,
