[MPlayer-users] DVD - Split Screen - SUCCESS

Thanks to Corey's suggestion, mplayer is working. "mplayer -v -vo x11
somefile.avi" did the trick. I had tried "mplayer -vo x11 somefile.avi",
and it said it couldn't find x11. I guess the extra -v is important. Thanks
very much.  Vince

Thanks. Tried all your suggestion... same sad result. The mplayer couldn't
find x11 and my graphics system (Trident) doesn't use xmga. The last line
on the terminal before the screen opens is

VO:[xv] 640x272=>640x272 Planar YV12 [fs]

I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks again.

Try with -vo x11. If it works, then your Xv driver is probably broken.
(not mplayer fault => try/check a more recent X version as it may fix it)
