[MPlayer-users] sound problem with arts

I can play all sounds through arts, but not through esd.

Check if artsd is startet by user, who uses mplayer. I startet artsd with my 
user (not root) and tried to play a avi with mplayer as root. I couldnt 
connect to soundserver and no sound was hearable.
