[MPlayer-users] sound problem with artsd in KDE3.1

After installing KDE3.1 (SuSE 7.3 rpms), mplayer with
using the "-ao arts" audio output creates only noise.
I use the newest release of mplayer. If worked just
great under KDE2 with the corresponding arts daemon.
I tried to recompile mplayer such that it links against
the new /opt/kde3/lib/libartsc.so, but that didn't help.

Anyone else with this problem?
