[MPlayer-users] Noise at beginning of some MP3 files

Hi,

I use mplayer as Movie- and MP3 Player.

When played with mplayer, some of my mp3's begin always
with about half a second very loud noise, then they get
played perfectly.
Other mp3 Players play them without that noise.
This happens only with a few files, not with all.

I uploaded a sample file named mp3_noise.mp3

This happens with MPlayer 0.90-RC2 and RC4. Current CVS doesn't
compile/link on my computer:
mplayer.o(.data+0x22d4): undefined reference to `readPPOpt'
mplayer.o(.data+0x22e8): undefined reference to `revertPPOpt'
mplayer.o(.data+0x2328): undefined reference to `pp_help'
libmpcodecs/libmpcodecs.a(vf.o)(.data+0x30): undefined reference to
`vf_info_pp'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [mplayer] Error 1

That's why I didn't test it with latest CVS. Sorry...

Also the noise is there on different computers, so I suppose it isn't
hard-/software specific...

Anyway, here the output of mplayer -v:
