[MPlayer-users] MEncoder cannot keep audio sync

I have this 6mb avi file, using divx 5 for video and pcm for audio.
I have a hardware mp3/mpeg4 player so in order to play the video i
needed to convert the audio from pcm to mp3

Therefore i went into mencoder and just did:

mencoder sample.avi -ovc copy -oac mp3lame -o samplemp3.avi

The result worked, but now the audio and video are not synched together.

Any way to fix this? I'm using official rc4
