Hi,

I have just installed the last mplayer and alsa-driver versions (from cvs).

(even with a lot of stable versions I have tried, it doesn't work too)

When I try to see a movie, everything works except with the hwac3 options.

I have no sound and everytime the message:

alsa-init: requested format: 48000 Hz, 2 channels, AC3
alsa-init: no soundcards found: Success
Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound.
Audio: no sound

I would like to know if at least one person in this list has already succeeded to carry out an ac3 passthrough with the creative audigy player card (and not live)

I have launch the following command:

mplayer dvd://1 -ac hwac3 -ao alsa9

I can't understand the message "no soundcards found" ?

NiKo
