[MPlayer-users] how to adust vol w/ mp3s

$ mplayer -playlist playlist.txt -shuffle -af volume=-200
$ mplayer -playlist playlist.txt -shuffle -af volume=0
$ mplayer -playlist playlist.txt -shuffle -af volume=40

vol is the same: full.

hitting /* doesn't change it either.

The amp my soundcard is pluged into has to be turned to about 0.6 of 0-10, and I think it would soulnd better if the input was a bit
less.
