dunno, probably by demuxing, cutting down the last, broken frame and
then re-muxing it.
but mplayer/mencoder can't do such thnings, it's not easy at all to
implement a standard compliant mpeg/vob muxer

anyway the dvd soft shouldn't abort on such errors, imho
