A'rpi, you're the man! I really hate that though, when i have an app 
already on my system that i never knew about! yeah, that *seems* to 
actually provide everything i would want right now... i guess theres just 
no other information possible though! It's still presumably a case of 
looping the application through possible ifo numbers until an error is 
reached, not too nice, but nevermind!

It would still be nice to access this information with a default 
installation of mplayer and nothing else, but libdvdread is certainly a 
much more attractive prospect that vstrip.

I'm still not aware of a decent ripping GUI for linux, maybe i'll actually 
do something serious abuot this, maybe not...

brilliant, i owe you one (hmm, maybe i should just pay you back by not 
posting to here :))
