[MPlayer-users] Problem with split image

Hi List!

I'm new to mplayer and an fascinated by its performance.
To improve my computers frame rate I got the latest cvs tree of mplayer
and compiled it from scratch using gcc 3.0
All worked fine.
When I run mplayer now with -vo xv I get however a picture of the video
that is split in 3 parts (vertically). The center part is ok
the left part appears on the right, and the right on the left. So .. instead
of having one picture that is combined of

L | M | R

I get an image like

R | M | L

I tried different resolutions (800x600 and 1024x768) and different bpps (16 and 24) .. nothing changed .. If I use -vo x11 .. the image is ok .. but of course
no acceleration ..

I'm using XFree 4.2 (debian woody) with the trident driver for the
VIA Tech VT8601 Graphics Controller

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for a great system!
- Cheers, Peter
