hi,

i have a 16:9 720x576 dvd and i'm trying to figure the correct command line
to rescale it for divx coding. with just
mplayer file.vob
it gets strecthed to 1024 horizontally, and i want it to be 720 wide.
then with
mplayer file.vob -vop crop=720:432:0:72,scale -sws 3 -aspect 16:9 -xy 720
it crashes:
...
Movie-Aspect is 1.78:1 - prescaling to correct movie aspect.
Using MMX for colorspace transform
SwScaler: using unscaled Planar YV12 -> BGR 32-bit special converter
Opening video filter: [expand]
Expand: -1 x -1, -1 ; -1 (-1=autodetect) osd: 0
VO: [x11] 720x432 => 720x303 BGR 32-bit
Shared memory not supported
Reverting to normal Xlib
X11 error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)

i saw a guide for linux dvd transforming, but they use transcode and
dvd:rip, and i want to do it with mplayer/mencoder.
thanks for any help.

georgi
