[MPlayer-users] turning off 3dnow

Is there some way support for 3dnow, 3dnowex, mmx, and mmx2 can be turned
off?  For some strange reason, at least the 3dnow assembly code renders
mplayer unbuildable on NetBSD/i386.  I see options for disabling
fastmemcpy, but not what I'm looking for.  When I sent a PR to the one who
handles mplayer in the NetBSD pkgsrc tree, I got lots of "hmm.. that's
funny, it works for me", but I suspect they're are using Intel chips, not
AMD.
