Hmm you seem to have enough experience with video encoding and
mencoder/lavc... could you help the doc writers (Diego, Jonas, Kim)
writing & structuring the new video encoding guide (replaces
encoding.html) ? There are some drafts (mostly only ideas & TOC)
already, but is far from being something.

It seems people really need such doc, as it's a FAQ on this list.
Even the developers don't know how to do proper encodings.

We should collect the basic rules first (like align width/height to 15, crop
black bars, downscale etc) and extend with the advanced tricks, like vlelim...

Could you help us with it?
