Hello.

I'm having a problem with Hollywood+ decoder card and DVD
subtitles. There is very annoying time jitter in video, and
subtitle sync is sometimes wrong. With no prebuf option video
runs smoothly, but subtitle sync is even more wrong.

How can I turn off hardware acceleration? I'v tried this command
line:

mplayer -vc mpeg12 -vo dxr3 -dvd 1 -slang fi

but no video shows up. It says:

==========================================================================
Forced video codec: mpeg12
Opening video decoder: [libmpeg2] MPEG 1/2 Video decoder v2.0
libmpeg2: Using MMXEXT for IDCT transform
libmpeg2: Using MMXEXT for motion compensation
VDec: vo config request - 720 x 576 (preferred csp: Planar YV12)
Couldn't find matching colorspace - retrying with -vop scale...
Opening video filter: [scale]
Sorry, selected video_out device is incompatible with this codec.
VDecoder init failed :(
Can't find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x10000002!
*** Try to upgrade /home/frilande/.mplayer/codecs.conf from
etc/codecs.conf
*** If it still does not work, read DOCS/codecs.html!

AO: [oss] 48000Hz 2ch Signed 16-bit (Little-Endian)
Video: no video!!!

Mplayer version is 0.90pre8.

Thank you for any help.

The sticker on the side of the box said "Supported Platforms:
Windows 98, Windows 2000, or better", so clearly Linux was
a supported platform.
