[MPlayer-users] Problem compiling mplayer ffmpeg support

i had exactly the same problem.

checkout a fresh mplayer
checkout a fresh ffmpeg
compile/make/make_install... and it will work

i know, i had it set up the way that the ffmpeg sources should get
updated automatically, i don't know what went wrong, but a fresh
checkout helped.
