you should find someone interested enough to start reverse engineering an
unknown format. i suspect it's something simple, as java is just too slow
for complex formats like mpeg or wavelets. so it's probably some vector
quantization (like sorenson) or indeo or cinepak, but these operate on big
data tables so no way to reverse engineer it from teh file unless you
analyze the dcoder software too. and it isn't easy...
