The video drivers are available on Nvidia and works fine with MPlayer (so
far). You have to D/L the tarballs, not the 7.3 RPM's ovbviously.
They compiled fine for the RH8 kernel and installed w/o any problems. You
have to adjust your XF86Config file sleightly as before.

No. I have now mplayer running on RH8.0 and everything is as before,
with the sole exception of playing with "gl2" as the driver from Nvidia
is not yet available. All the rest works perfectly
