[MPlayer-users] redhat 8.0 issues

I have just installed mplayer on redhat 8.0. Most things appear to work
except divx playback.
The screen is split in two, and half wrapped around. So the whole
picture is on the screen, but theit starts in the middle, and wraps
around back into the middle.
 
Has anybody else experienced this?
