hi all,

i hope to find help with a nasty problem.

when i use mplayer -vo vesa -fs -zoom i get a perfectly scaled image
running smoothly even on my k62/400. vesa seems to do software-scaling
or whatever, at least it does the scaling with no extra cpu-usage..

now tv-out comes into play and right here i stuck. i am using a
tnt2-card (elsa erazor3 with tv-out) and to activate the tv-out i use
nvtv. so far the console is displayed ok, all stretched to the sides
(and a little further) of my tv. when i now start the movie it plays
centered on my tv, but with black bars all around.

does anybody run this configuration successfully or does anybody know
what exactly vesa is doing? obviously it is able to force my tv-out into
a different mode, so is there a way to ontrol wich mode it uses?

any ideas are very welcome...

/jc
