[MPlayer-users] dvd playback problem...

hi,

i can watch dvd without problems with mplayer -dvd 1

i have a toshiba1612 dvd drive, which was 'updated' to 
region-free...

but:
 i tried to use the -dvdnav feature, and it didn't work.
it's beta code so maybe it really doesn't work i said,
and went back to "mplayer -dvd 1"..

but now mplayer -dvd 1 doesn't work.... he tells 
playing dvd title 1,
and the hdd keeps working for some time then it stops..

i can kill mplayer after some time... 

btw. i tried xine to watch dvds and did the same.... reported
opening dvd, the hdd worked for some time ( 1minute approx ),
and then no response... when i killed xine, mplayer refused 
to play the dvd with the same error...

btw2. on windows i got the same problem from powerdvd player...
hdd working , no response, had to shutdown windows to stop it..

any ideas what's wrong?
and btw. what should i do to somehow 'reinitialize' the dvd drive,
so mplayer could play dvds once again... for now, i have to reboot
every time i do something like -dvdnav, or xine.
