[MPlayer-users] problem with -aop list=surround

Greets!
I've been using mplayer for a while and upgraded to the latest CVS today.
PROBLEM: with -aop list=surround, everything goes extremely slow. It was
working quite well before.
command line I used is, -vop null -vc null -ao null -aop list=surround
If you do this you can see that it takes some 5 seconds to move some
1 second in the the file!
It is the same without the 'null' stuff too! :)
Remove surround and it works perfectly.
I'm attaching the -v output and my system details. I've tested on multiple
systems though (gcc 3.1, 3.2 MDK9, RH7.3 and RH8).
