how about the pretty damn obvious -vop list=volnorm option that is *in 
the manpage and docs*? rtfm.

similar to this tho... how does one set this in mplayer.conf? i saw it on 
here before but can't remember it. can i suggest adding mplayer.conf 
equivalents for each relevant cmldine option?
