GEOS (Graphics Enviroment Operating System) was the first GUI for commodore 
64, then Commodore 128 in the 8 bit days. Then the GUI OS's came (Atari ST - 
GEM, Amiga - KickStart/Workbench, Apple - Mac OS, Apple IIGS with whatever 
they called it)..

And then GEOS has moved to the Embedded area. The company that makes it called 
GeoWorks and you can see the best example in a Nokia 9100/9110/9110i phones 
which are equipped with GEOS (which actually sits on DOS - yes, the 
communicator 91xx is just a phone with an AMD 486-33Mhz device with 2MB RAM 
(expandable))..
