[MPlayer-users] xv problem

hi,

i've got a problem with -vo xv , but it doesn't seem to be mplayer
specific, because xine-xv has the same problem.

mandrake 8.2, nvidia drivers, tnt2 32mb

when i play any movie using -vo xv, i can see a lot of thin ( 1 pixel
width) horizontal lines in the movie-window, and even next to the movie
window. those horiz. lines are moving up, down etc. i know that's not
the perfect problem-description but i can't take a screenshot :(

aactually i had this problem before, but then i reinstalled X and the
problem vanished somehow.

btw. the -vo sdl output still works perfectly, and i still don't
understand how they can work thru xv without errors, when -vo xv
produces errors.

and the problem is only at higher resolutions , beginning with 1280x960
( i'm running on 1600x1200 or something near to that ).

i was using a resolution of 1408x1056, but then i thought that those
lines are there because i calculated something wrong for the modeline,
but the problem is there even at 1600x1200 where i didn't do any
modeline adjustments
