Are you absolutely sure? I tested the CVS snapshot (about 5 minutes ago) and it still doesn't appear to work, I tried a WMA audio file (it says no video, not implemented yet - see log) and when I try to play a streaming ASF audio stream, I get stream not seekable, but it appears to download and not play (the connection appears active to the server until I kill mplayer).
