[MPlayer-users] Problems Pausing

For many more months than I could attempt to count I've had a problem with
almost every file format in mplayer. Whenever I pause and then resume, the
video becomes skippy. Sometimes only every other frame (it appears) or
sometimes to an unwatchable extent. Not much more I can describe other than
that. Here's my system information:
