[MPlayer-users] quicktime sorenson codec

I'm citing the German news service 'Heise Newsticker' from
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/data/nij-21.06.02-000/ :

Anlaß zu wahren Jubelausbrüchen gibt dies aber kaum -- immerhin hat der
in die Software eingebaute Codec mittlerweile einige Jahre auf dem
Buckel. So lassen sich immerhin die meisten alten Filme im
Sorenson-Format wiedergeben -- nicht aber solche im Format der
aktuellen Generation (SVQ3).

Translation:

There's no cause for too much joy - the included codec is rather old.
It can decode most of the older movies but not those encoded with
the current Sorensen version (SVQ3).
