Well, I have tested the RealPlayer Linux codecs under cygwin and have some news for you.
IT WORKS! Now, of course this follows any other realmedia file, some may work, others may not. I have only tested my Transformers episodes, and all seem to work without a hitch, SOUND included. YMMV.
Getting RP8 to work for you under cygwin:
Follow the same instructions in the docs regarding where to put the libs. Only change is you have to specify implicitly to --enable-real on your configure line. (Until it is set to auto for this target os.)
Can dvlprs set this to auto for cygwin target please with the attached patch? Works for me(tm). My mail prog screws up text, so I attached.
