and i have to tell something bad: we don't have things like gui or
user-friendly or easy-to-use on our 1.0 TODO list...

there was a list of things for 1.0 about half year ago, at -dev-eng
it listed direct rendering, libvo2, mencoder, and some other i forgot

0.90 already has all these, but needs some fixing and cleanup.
(except libvo2, but we changed libvo1 + introduced -vop so libvo2 plans
are obsolete)

anyway i don't feel we can release 1.0 in teh near future...
i have even doubts about 0.90... but we'll release it as we want to do deep
changes on teh code which may makes cvs unstable or temporary reduce
functionality...

there are still too much bugs and unsolved issues, and i have no idea when
will be solved
