       Do you have the picture for the whole virtual desktop when
       changing the modes(say, using -vm mplayer switched to 640x480
       but the size remained the same as it was(1024x768), so you have
       to scroll to see the remaining parts) ?
       I have such problem right now, but I'm still not sure whether
       it's a bug or just configuration problem(well it worked before
       when I had X 4.0.3 instead of 4.1.0 but that was a different
       version of mplayer, too).
