yup

nothing changed...other than the vpass=X

Outa interest (unrelated), Would there be any effect if your 1st pass
was at a higher birate than your second?

I'll change that next time..

from what i saw, it was encoding fine for most of the time... then
suddenly the .avi was growing expontially..as if it was doing a direct
copy. It's happened twice, once while i was sleeping..woke up, and found
out my disk was full, the .avi was upto 4G+...and the 2nd time i caught
it. 
Ive started to use bframes, im not sure if this is the cause of the
problem (possible bug?).
