[MPlayer-users] 3 pass encoding - big audio lag

Hi all,

I just installed le latest CVS snapshot (last mplayer used was 0.6.x a while
ago) and I did a 3 pass encoding.

mencoder -dvd 1 -ovc frameno -o frameno.avi -oac mp3lame -lameopts br=128:cbr

mencoder -dvd 1 -oac copy -pass 1 -ovc divx4 -divx4opts br=2000 -ofps 23.976
-vop scale=704:304,crop=704:416:8:80 -sws 2 -endpos 00:04:00 -o test.avi
(same for 2nd pass)

After that, I' ve got my frameno.avi file (~100Mb) and my avi file.

I played my test.avi file and noticed that there's a big lag (a few
seconds!!!) between audio and video. Very annoying specialy when the video
and audio output is excellent. (BTW, this scale and crop thingy is
wonderfull)

So, I have very good AV output, except this f*ck&@% sync problem.

I've re-installed all lame and mplayer (3 cvs versions the last days), tried
several lameopts options, read the manual I don't know for how many times
(maybe I missed something) but without succes. It's drivin' me crazy :(

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

PS: yes it is a Red Hat, but all compiled with gcc 2.95.3 ;-)
