finding the MEncoder manual doesn't say how to encode FOR DVD, I figured
it was fair game to ask...

how do i take an mpeg2 file and have it re-encoded so I can then burn it
to a DVDR for playback on a standalone DVD player?

also, i have an mpeg that i've mux'd using mjpeg tools. it plays back
fine in xine but in mplayer, the audio is out of sync. I've told mplex
what the syncoffset is, and it seems to work in xine, but its a no-go in
mplayer, anyone have any idea why?

oh, using pre5, thanks!
