[MPlayer-users] mencvcd problems

Using mencvcd when encoding a widescreen NTSC 3:2 pulldown movie to svcd
(via -svcdout option with -w -vfm 1 ) it still produces a 16:9 movie :(
If I simply drop the -svcdout it encodes a vcd with a weird aspect: 

Aspect ratio code: 12 = 1:1.1250 (4:3 NTSC for 720x480/352x240 images)

The vcd looks great (nice aspect and good sync). Unfortunately, I want
to create an svcd that is letterboxed. 

Has anyone else run into this problem before?
