[MPlayer-users] awful quality with mencoder and DivX

Hi,

I'm using mencoder and DivX from avifile's page (version 20011025)
with the following commands:

mencoder  -ovc divx4 -divx4opts br=890:q=5 -npp tn:150:200:400,hb,vb,dr,al,ci
-sws 2 -x 768 -y 576  -oac mp3lame -lameopts br=16:q=0:vbr=2:mode=0
-pass 1 -ofps 25 -o 003.divx 003.vdr

and:

mencoder  -ovc divx4 -divx4opts br=890:q=5 -npp tn:150:200:400,hb,vb,dr,al,ci

-pass 2 -ofps 25 -o 003.divx 003.vdr

When using Windoze (FlaskMpeg and DivX 4.1x) I get quite good
quality at that bitrate. But with mencoder it's awful quite a
lot of squares ...).

Are there any better settings? Encoding time is unimportant,
but I want good quality at that bitrate ...
