[MPlayer-users] Annoying beep when starting mplayer

Hi
Has anyone found when using ximian gnome on redhat 7.2 mplayer produces an
annoying beep at startup. I've notice that if I delete my config files
for ximian and set them up again using the ximian wizard, the problem is
temporarily solved. At this point, as soon as I log out and back in again the beep
continues. Also when mplayer has loaded the title bar is missing on the
viewing window.
Is there anyone out there who can help
