asx support is in CVS version, but your are not very lucky it also don't
work with CVS version. mplayer identifie it as an asx but it's a normal asf file.
You can download it with an http client and then view it, or use
 wget -O - http://aljazeera.net/mritems/streams/video/2002/1/18/1_77105_1_12.asf | ./mplayer -
to wait ;)
