Ok, here is the full gcc output. It fails right at the start:

make[1]: Entering directory

gcc -I../../include -I../../extras -finline-limit=31337 -DSYS_LINUX
/usr/local/include:/usr/include:/usr/src/linux/include /usr/local/include:/usr/include:/usr/src/linux/include -Iinclude
-Iextras -I/usr/local/include -Wall -Winline -pipe -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE
-O3 -ffast-math -funroll-loops -fomit-frame-pointer
-march=pentiumpro -mcpu=pentiumpro -fPIC -c -o libdvdcss.o libdvdcss.c
gcc: cannot specify -o with -c or -S and multiple compilations
make[1]: *** [libdvdcss.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory
make: *** [libdvdcss] Error 2

Ive also tried it with gcc 3.0.3. No changes.
