[MPlayer-users] help with xvid

Hello!
I'm using MPlayer + xvid from cvs  (21feb) and I get a green or a black screen when I try to play it with mplayer -vc divx4 or -vc odivx. The FAQ says to update codecs.conf but I'm using the one from the latest cvs...?
One more question: Does xvid support brightness/contrast adjusting with 1 2 3 4 keys?
