	hi,

	rtfm ;-)
	you should use
	-vc mpegpes
as parameter to your mplayer. Otherwise
the decoding will be done in software.

Betreff: [MPlayer-users] dxr3 and sync

Hi,

I'm using the em8300 0.11 drivers and mplayer 0.60
with the dxr3 patch. When I play an mpeg1 file (video
is 352 x 240, VBR, 29.97 fps and audio is mp2, 44.1
kHz, 224kpbs) the sync is very bad indeed, of the
order of seconds.

The output of mplayer (which I've attached) says that
my CPU is too slow, which could be fair comment.
However, when I split the stream manually into video
and audio and then simply cat the streams to the
em8300_m* devices, the quality and the sync are fine,
with only 25% cpu usage. Could the demultiplexing
really be killing me here?

Are there any options on mplayer that I should be
using? For instance, the output seems to be saying
that it's doing some video scaling in software.

-hardframedrop (which is suggested by mplayer) gives
correct sync, but the video is very awful.
