[MPlayer-users] reencoding avi that requires -ni

Hi,
I have an avi (Star Trek 4) that requires the -ni switch when playing it
with mplayer or otherwise it will stop playing audio 5mins into the
movie (or after seeking).
I was wondering if it is possible to reencode it with mencoder (I didn't
find an -ni switch in man mencoder ;). -oac copy -ovc copy didn't help
(made it worse).
