[MPlayer-users] graphic card hangs after playing bigger than screen movie with fbdev

Hello everybody!

I just experienced a hang after playing a divx movie on the console.
I had my framebuffer mode set to 640x480-100 and played a movie that
is slightly bigger than the screen, 768x320. The screen got filled
with garbage and the display hung, meaning that the garbage just would
not disappear after exiting mplayer or trying to switch consoles or
switching to X. I had to reboot to cure the problem and get working
graphics back :-(

I use an up to date Debian woody system with Kernel 2.4.17. Mplayer
is latest CVS and was compiled with gcc 2.95-4. Libc is 2.2.4, ld is
2.11.92.0.12.3. My graphics board is a Matrox G200 AGP card with 8MB
SGRAM.

My distribution is an up to date Debian woody (testing) with custom
compiled kernel 2.4.17 and libc 2.2.4, gcc 2.95-4, as and ld
2.11.92.0.12.3.

Below is the mplayer output as well as lspci and /proc/cpuinfo output.

Regards

Diego
